Cold Temps and Snow Returning to the Region

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 11 AM MST WEDNESDAY.

This includes Weld, Douglas, Adams, Arapahoe, Morgan, Elbert, Lincoln, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick, Phillips, Yuma-Kit Carson-Cheyenne-Sherman-Wallace-Greeley- Dundy-Hitchcock & Wichita counties in Colorado and the tri-state area.


Total snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. All of northeast and east central Colorado, including the I-25 Urban Corridor.


Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Accumulating snow will begin after sunset this evening. The heaviest snow will occur tonight and early Wednesday morning. Accumulating snow will end from west to east  late Wednesday morning, by noon. While strong winds are not expected with this system, easterly to northerly winds at 10 to 25 mph may result in periods of blowing and drifting snow. Wind chill readings as low as 15 degrees below zero are expected this evening through Wednesday morning.
