Fire crews, EMT’s and Sheriff’s officials, responded to a tragic incident on Thursday afternoon, January 30th, in Fort Morgan. Details are unclear, as at about 1:45pm on that afternoon, the scanner calls went out to the area northeast of CR-S & 17. According to Morgan County Under Sheriff Jon Horton, an industrial accident involving an auger, caused the death of one individual, and injuries to 2 others on scene. One of the individuals suffered severe traumatic injuries and is still recovering at the hospital, while the other person that suffered injuries has been released. By the time rescue crews arrived on scene the one victim was already DOA, as the other victim with severe injuries was transported to the hospital between 2:05 & 2:15pm. No other details are being released at this time.
