NWS - *COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 AM MST THURSDAY. Weld, Morgan, Adams, Arapahoe, Elbert, Lincoln, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick & Phillips Counties. Very cold wind chills of -15F to -25F expected, except -5F to -15F in the immediate Denver metro area. The Front Range Foothills, I-25 Urban Corridor, and plains of northeast and east central Colorado.


NWS - *COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM MST /11 PM CST/ THIS EVENING TO 8 AM MST /9 AM CST/ THURSDAY. Yuma-Kit Carson-Cheyenne-Sherman-Wallace-Greeley-Wichita-Dundy & Hitchcock counties in Colorado & the entire tri-state area.


Very cold wind chills ranging from 15 to 24 below zero expected. Wind chill readings of this magnitude may quickly lead to frostbite and hypothermia in unprotected humans, pets and livestock.


**Frostbite may occur on exposed skin in less than 30 minutes. Air temperatures will fall below zero this evening. Air temperatures approaching 10 below zero are expected. Thursday morning, when 5 to 15 mph southwesterly winds will result in wind chill readings as low as 24 below zero. If you must venture outdoors, make sure to wear appropriate clothing. Dress in multiple layers, including a hat and gloves. Young or smaller animals are at greatest risk for frostbite and hypothermia. Having abundant and accessible feed will help animals maintain body temperature and survive cold temperatures.
