NWS -

HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGH NOON TUESDAY MORNING. Larimer-Weld-Morgan-Adams-Arapahoe-Logan Counties. Including the cities of Fort Collins, Briggsdale, Greeley, Fort Morgan, Byers, and Sterling. North winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph possible. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 5PM TUESDAY AFTERNOON. Heavy snow and blowing snow possible. Total snow accumulations up to 5 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 65 mph. Weld & Logan Counties in Colorado. Including the cities of Grover, Merino, Crook, Stoneham, Raymer, Peetz, Pawnee Buttes, Sterling, and Briggsdale. Snow covered roads will make travel hazardous, with the possibility of very difficult or impossible travel. Snow and blowing snow will reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less. *Considerable uncertainty still exists with the storm track, but confidence is increasing that impactful snowfall will develop.

HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM MST /3 AM CST/ TO 11 PM MST/MIDNIGHT CST/ TUESDAY. North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected. In Colorado, Yuma County. In Kansas, Cheyenne, Sherman, Greeley, and Wallace Counties. In Nebraska, Dundy County. High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Blowing snow is also possible with the High Winds which could lead to white out conditions.

BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM MST /3 AM CST/ TO 11 PM MST/MIDNIGHT CST/ TUESDAY. Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations could be between 2 and 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph. In Colorado, Kit Carson and Yuma Counties. In Kansas, Cheyenne County. In Nebraska, Dundy County. Including the cities of St. Francis, Bird City, Benkelman, Burlington, Yuma, and Wray. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Plan for slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage. A narrow band of snow could develop and lead to accumulations of 6 to 12 inches. Those with agricultural interests should make extra preparations in case the snow band does impact you. Travel on Interstate 70 could become dangerous or impossible due to falling or blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility. Whiteout conditions often lead to disorientation, resulting in a life-threatening situation. Do not travel unless it is absolutely necessary.
