Pilot Identified in Morgan County Fatal Plane Crash

The pilot killed in a the single-engine plane crash last Thursday near Brush has been identified as 52-year-old Kyle Scott, co-founder & CEO of Scott Aviation and CO Fire Aviation. He was a current board member of the National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA), Vice-president of the Colorado Agricultural Aviation Association, and an operations manager at the Fort Morgan Municipal Airport. According to his profile, Scott had 27 years of aviation experience and was certified to fly single- and multi-engine aircraft as well as helicopters.



According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office – on Thursday, September 5, at approximately 10:15 AM, Morgan County first responders were dispatched to a single engine airplane crash in the Snyder / Hillrose area. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the sole occupant of the airplane was deceased. This crash is being investigated jointly by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Morgan County Coroner’s Office, Federal Aviation Administration  (FAA) and the Nation Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)
