RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MDT (NOON CDT) TO 7 PM MDT (8PM CDT) TODAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR ALL OF THE PLAINS ALONG AND NORTH OF I-70 – Larimer, Weld, Boulder, Jefferson, Broomfield, Douglas, Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Morgan, Lincoln, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick, Phillips, Yuma, Kit Carson, Cheyenne, Dundy & Hitchcock counties in Colorado & the tri-state area. WINDS out of the northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 14-15 percent. Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are occurring. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. * Outdoor burning is not recommended.
