Sterling, CO – January 2, 2025
At approximately 2:16am this morning, January 2, 2025,Sterling Police Officers were conducting routine patrols when they observed a suspicious vehicle at Sterling Storage, located at 201 N.10th Ave.
Upon approaching the vehicle and contacting two individuals, officers discovered a plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance inside a purse on the floorboard. As a result of the investigation, officers seized approximately two ounces of methamphetamine.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jeffery Schlesier, 47 of Sterling, was arrested on multiple charges:
CRS 18-18-405, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, a Class 2 Drug Felony
CRS 18-18-403.5, Possession of a Schedule I/II Substance, a Class 4 DrugFelony
CRS 18-18-428, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a PO
Schlesier is currently being held at the Logan County Jail. He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
