A lot of people were in attendance at a special open meeting of Yuma City Council, last Thursday evening, October 25th, following an Executive Session regarding Yuma City Manager Scott Moore. After more than an hour, council reconvened for an open meeting for the public, to announce that Moore would be placed on unpaid administrative leave. The reason given was council losing confidence with him, as no specific details were given. The motion was approved with a unanimous 6-0 vote with one council member absent. A request was made by council member Dan Baucke to meet with Moore the next day, at a location of Moore’s choice, as Moore said he would take it under consideration. City Attorney Kathryn Sellars participated in the Executive Session meeting via remote. This is a developing story.
